Feb. 19th, 2004 12:14 pmMy Philosophy prof. today, on 'Who Was Alexander The Great's Tutor,' as asked by a student:
"Aristotle was his tutor. Which just shows that even brilliant philosophers can have lousy students!"
See Liz fume. See Liz anger. See Liz steam out of her ears.
Sorry, but I have a soft spot for Alexander, and I'm pretty sure he was a lot of things, but 'lousy student' was not among them. Hello.
I hate that man. And if he compares America to Rome ONE MORE TIME, I'm going to lose it.
In still crappy news, "The West Wing" just keeps declining and declining. Last night's episode was such total crap. The dialogue is not concise, it's boring, it has no purpose, and the stories are turning more and more pro-Bush, it seems, which is making me twitch and retch. It's subtle, but it's there, and soon, Leo will become even more unrecognizable than he is now. Josh is almost being written out, Will, who's actually a great character, is barely there, and all it is war, war, war. Or eminent war. Or metaphorical war. Or whatever war. We later watched an old episode (last season's season finale, I think) and oh my God, the quality of that show. That was an amazing episode. Everything was there. Everyone was there. It was just...so good. Fucking John Wells. He ruined the show.
I promise this is the last time I'll bitch about this, but had to get it out.
But it's Thursday! Which means that tomorrow is Friday, and then it's the weekend. How can that not be happy?
